How Carewell works in practice
Most clinics complete onboarding within one business day. You submit your clinic registration details and ward structure through the platform. Carewell verifies the registration and sets up your account. After that you can post shifts immediately.
Nurses submit their SRK/ASI registration number and specialist certifications through the platform. Carewell checks registration status against the official SRK registry and validates certified specialties. Nurses must also confirm their language profile and ward-type experience. The full verification process takes under 24 hours for most nurses who submit complete documentation.
If a confirmed nurse cancels, the shift returns to the open pool immediately and the matching engine re-runs. The clinic receives a notification and the next best-fit candidates are surfaced automatically. Late cancellations affect the nurse's performance rating and reduce their match priority on future shifts.
Yes. Carewell operates under Swiss law. Nurses on the platform work as independent contractors. The platform does not function as a staffing agency or employer. Data handling complies with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) revised 2023. All credential data is stored on Swiss-based infrastructure. Yes. After a successful shift, clinics can mark a nurse as a preferred candidate. When you post a future shift with the same requirements, preferred nurses who are available are surfaced first in your match results. You can also post a shift visible only to your preferred pool.
Clinics are invoiced monthly for platform fees on confirmed shifts. Invoices are issued in CHF. Payment by bank transfer or card is supported. The Starter plan has no monthly base fee; you are only invoiced when shifts are filled.
